How to use Navdy Dash Mode

Navdy Dash mode lets you customize your dashboard with important driver information like the speed limit, MPG, fuel range, RPM, compass, and more. Here’s how it works:

With Navdy plugging into your car’s OBD-II port, the device gets access to the vehicle’s diagnostics. Combine that with your smartphone information and navigation details, and you’re left with what is, perhaps, Navdy’s most powerful screen.

To enter Dash Mode:

  • Go to the main menu and select Dash Mode using the steering wheel-mounted Navdy Dial.

Dash Mode features a large speedometer in the center, with two changeable gauges either side. The default view is a combined tachometer with speed and RPM. The MPH label is replaced by a label noting the posted speed limit if you go too fast.

If you’d like to play with different gauges in different locations, click the Navdy Dial and select “Dash Options.” From there, you can change things up and use the graph of the tachometer for speed or switch between the left or right gauges to determine which can scroll. To scroll between available gauges, turn the Navdy Dial from within the Dash Mode screen. You can access options such as the compass, MPG, fuel level, calendar alerts and more.

Note: Navdy shows only the gauges that are available with your car.

Dash Mode isn’t just for viewing your car’s information: Smartphone notifications push automatically to the display, you can use natural gesture controls to answer or decline calls, and your turn-by-turn navigation instructions appear at the bottom of the screen. When using navigation, you’ll also have access to an all-new gauge—one that shows your ETA, travel time, and distance to destination.

Navdy Dash is where you get the most information available. And as always, it’s still safely accessible without ever taking your eyes off the road.
